Congratulations 2026 IESBRF Summer Fellows

  • Ansh Aitha working with Ben Kolber, PhD at University of Texas at Dallas on Chronic Bladder Pain
  • Rachel Whitehead working with Jasmin Hurd, PhD at Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai on Opioid Use Disorder
  • Mia Zhong working with Maria Castro, PhD at University of Michigan Medical School on Diffuse Hemisphere Glioma
  • Samuel Martell working with Nikki Crowley, PhD at Penn State University on Anxiety & Annxiety Like Behaviors

The selected summer fellows are given an award of $2500 to allow them to be mentored full time for the summer by brilliant neuroscientists heading top notch U.S. labs. 

Our goal is that these outstanding young scientists will add to the work of the senior scientists towards effective treatments & cures for brain diseases & conditions such as: PTSD, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, MS, brain cancer, addiction, MS, TBI (concussion), depression, pain, autism, schizophrenia, etc.

Thank you to all who have made tax deductible donations and supported events that fund the Summer Fellowship Program. As of this summer, we'll have given 126 summer fellowships, since starting by giving 2 in 2005.
