About The Foundation

Faye Simon Harac formed the Irene & Eric Simon Brain Research Foundation to honor her parents and to help further education & research in the field her dad was so passionate about. Inspired by the groundbreaking discoveries originating from Dr. Simon’s 54 years as an NYU researcher, this foundation seeks to help further research and education and to help find answers to addiction & pain and other brain diseases and disorders, such as schizophrenia, brain cancer, traumatic brain injury, PTSD, Parkinson's and Alzheimer’s.

Student Summer Fellowship Program 2025

For 2025 If you are in the process of deciding if neuroscience research is to be part of your career plans and would like the opportunity to work with and be trained by a well-established, experienced scientist in the field of brain research, you can apply. The Student Summer Fellowship Program is for bright, motivated undergraduate, first year graduate and medical students who are considering a career in neuroscience.
